Using my unique personal and professional experience I will help you find the support you need and provide a level of understanding only another autism parent can provide. Through parent coaching we can find the right path for your unique family.
I am a mother of two adult children and one teenager and the grandmother of five. Two of my children and two of my grandchildren have ADHD and Autism (Level 1). I have 30 years of professional and personal experience working with and navigating how to support neurodiverse individuals ranging from young children to senior citizens. I have a bachelor’s in psychology with a master’s in social work and am a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Texas.
For years I struggled to find support for my older son. I struggled alone while he struggled at school and home. When he ended up in a psychiatric hospital at 13, I knew I needed help but didn’t know how to find it. Unfortunately, he still struggles even as an adult. When my younger son was diagnosed, I still didn’t have all the answers, but I was much more prepared to help. Seeing their different experiences and how different their lives are shows me that with the right support a child with autism can thrive along their chosen path. I don’t pretend to have all the answers but am happy to provide parents support and guidance along your path.
My mission is to empower parents with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to help their child soar. I do not believe that children with autism should fit in or be like others. Instead, I seek to give parents what they need to help their child become their best selves. By gathering information about your family, your child's strengths, and their struggles I seek to provide a path forward that gives your child their own set of wings.
Logan is my youngest child and is 17 years old. He is going into his senior year of high school and is applying to college in the fall. He enjoys video games, YouTube, TikTok, listening to music, watching horror movies, and playing tennis for his school and local junior tennis team. He is currently a Life Scout working on his Eagle. He has his red belt in American Bando and plans to get his black belt this year. He also helps to teach at his special needs martial arts school. When he graduates he wants to move to Japan and teach English. Oh and he also has autism and ADHD.
